Alan Sparhawk has revealed his new solo album, White Roses, My God, coming out on September 27 through Sub Pop.
This album follows his 2006 release Solo Guitar and features the electronic single "Can U Hear" along with a music video directed by Rick Alverson. After losing Mimi Parker in late 2022, Alan channeled his grief into creating this project while continuing to explore new musical directions. He recorded it at 20 Below in Duluth, Minnesota, with Nat Harvie co-producing and Heba Kadry mastering.
People often find solace in creativity during tough times.
Alan will be touring to promote his solo work. Starting in November, he’ll play some dates in the UK before heading back to North America to open for Godspeed You! Black Emperor. After a holiday break, he’ll resume touring early 2025 beginning with Fargo on January 13th.
Low’s last album before Mimi’s passing was Hey What, released in September 2021.
