Alanis Morissette Sings National Anthems at Stanley Cup Final Game 7

Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers battle the Florida Panthers in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Before the puck drops, Alanis Morissette sang both national anthems—“O Canada” and “The Star-Spangled Banner”—while fans joined in loudly. She didn’t wear an NHL jersey since she supports her hometown team, the Ottawa Senators. Watch her performances here and here on X.

Next month, Alanis will be headlining Pitchfork Music Festival’s last night in Chicago on July 21. Sharing the stage that Sunday are Muna, Brittany Howard, Jessica Pratt, Grandmaster Flash, Mannequin Pussy, Crumb, Model/Actriz, and others. Check out more details below.

I love how music can bring so many different artists together.

Alanis also revealed a reissue of her 1998 album Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, set to release on September 6 via Rhino. Her latest album with new songs was The Storm Before the Calm, released in 2022 as her 10th studio LP overall.
