Avalon Emerson Debuts Singles Series with New Song ‘Don’t Be Seen With Me’

Avalon Emerson has released her own version of the song “Don’t Be Seen With Me” by Oppenheimer Analysis, celebrating her new partnership with Dead Oceans and starting a fresh singles project called Perpetual Emotion Machine.

Emerson explained in a press note that these tracks were crafted specifically for her DJ performances. She said, “These songs were created for my DJ sets. Whether they’re entirely original, edits to recontextualize old favorites, instrumental, or feature me singing, they are all part of my perpetual emotion machine. And the machine steams on.”

This new series marks Emerson’s return to dance beats after she explored dream-pop sounds in her 2023 album & the Charm. You might want to revisit that time when she shifted from techno beats to dreamy tunes in the interview “Why Techno Rule-Breaker Avalon Emerson Traded Club Bangers for Featherlight Dream-Pop.”

Sometimes we just love how artists keep surprising us with their musical journeys.

Her tour includes stops like Los Angeles on February 21 at Catch One and Berlin’s Panorama Bar on February 28. Then she’ll head over to Paris at La Gaîté Lyrique on March 2 before hitting Amsterdam’s Club Raum on March 7 and Brussels’ Horst Club from March 8-9. Next up are performances in Tokyo at Vent on March 21 and Osaka’s Circus Osaka on March 22.

The journey continues with Lisbon at LuxFrágil on March 28 and London’s HERE at Outernet on March 29. In April, she’ll visit Santiago’s Paraiso Party @ Onium (April 17), Buenos Aires’ Rave3000 @ Club de Pescadores (April 18), and São Paulo’s Gop Tun Festival (April 20). May sees her performing in Queens’ Knockdown Center (May 3) followed by shows in Chicago’s Concord Music Hall (May 16) and San Francisco’s Gingerbread Warehouse (May 17). She also plans appearances at London’s Gala Festival (May 24), Detroit’s Movement Music Festival (May 25), Paris’ We Love Green Festival (June 8), Barcelona’s Soundit Festival (July19), Copenhagen’s O Days Festival (August1), Amstelveen’s Dekmantel Festival(August3),and Helsinki’s Flow Festival(August9).
