Brian Eno Leads Songwriting Workshop with School of Song

Brian Eno is set to lead a special program in January for the online platform, School of Song.

This workshop offers four talks, hour-long Q&A sessions, and a live writing activity, diving into themes like Oblique Strategies and Avant Gardening. It costs $160 to join, and you must sign up by January 4.

In his course at School of Song, Brian Eno promises to share how he approaches creativity using techniques he’s honed over decades. โ€œIโ€™m looking forward to the chance to properly articulate some ideas about the creative process that have been fermenting over the last 50 years,โ€ he said. โ€œTo be able to do this with some fresh young minds and imaginations was a chance that I couldnโ€™t refuse.โ€

Eno’s latest solo album ForeverAndEverNoMore came out in 2022. Since then, he’s teamed up with Fred Again.. on Secret Life, released the Small Craft EP and an archival album called Sushi! Roti! Reibekuchen!, plus collaborated with Hot Chip, Goddess, and Jean-Michel Jarre.

I think it’s really cool when artists share their secrets with others.
