Four men are suing Chris Brown and his crew for allegedly attacking them after a concert in Fort Worth, Texas.
Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and DaMarcus Powell filed the lawsuit on July 22 in Texas. They want at least $50 million in damages. The incident happened after they attended Chris Brown’s show at Dickies Arena on July 20. After the concert, they were invited backstage to meet him but waited half an hour for him to arrive. Charles Bush complimented Brown on his performance, which was fine until someone from Brown’s group reminded him about past issues with Bush.
Things escalated quickly when Brown reportedly told his entourage to attack Bush. One person punched Bush in the chest while another threw a chair at his head. Following Brown’s orders, the group also attacked Larry Parker by punching and kicking him for over ten minutes. DaMarcus Powell and Joseph Lewis were also hit in their shoulders and chests during the chaos. All four men are now getting medical help for their injuries.
The lawsuit doesn’t just target Chris Brown; it also includes Live Nation Worldwide Inc., Live Nation Marketing Inc., Yella Beezy (Markies Deandre Conway), Sinko Ceej, and Hood Boss (Omololu Omari Akinlolu).
The charges against them include assault, battery, negligence, gross negligence, and causing emotional distress.
Tony Buzbee, the plaintiffs’ lawyer, said via email that the complaint is clear about what happened and shows very bad behavior.
Live Nation Entertainment and RCA Records didn’t respond right away when asked for comments.
