On a Thursday in October, Dua Lipa had a magical concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
She performed with a big group: 53 musicians from the Heritage Orchestra, Ben Foster as the conductor, 14 choir singers, and her seven band members. Now, you can listen to it all on her live album Dua Lipa Live From the Royal Albert Hall, coming out December 6. Check out the songs and album cover below.
“Getting to perform at the Royal Albert Hall was unlike anything I’ve ever done,” Dua Lipa said in a statement. “For the longest time, I’ve had this idea to reimagine my music with an orchestra, and when I was making Radical Optimism, I was constantly thinking about the live element and how these songs would transform on stage, so when the Royal Albert Hall show came up, it presented itself as the perfect opportunity to not only reconstruct these songs but also celebrate them in such a beautiful and intimate way. The experience was entirely thrilling and equally rewarding. It was a dream come true, and something I’ll always take with me.”
And there’s more good news for Dua! She’s been honored by Trevor Project as their Mental Health Champion of 2024 because she speaks up for mental health issues affecting LGBTQ+ youth.
Fans love how celebrities use their fame for important causes.
Dua’s tour for Radical Optimism kicked off this month but North America will have to wait until next September for her shows.
