Jason Isbell Unveils First Solo Album in 10 Years with New Song

Jason Isbell is coming out with an album called Foxes in the Snow, which will be his first solo project since 2015, and it drops on March 7 under his own label, Southeastern.

This new album is a fully acoustic solo piece, recorded over five days at Electric Lady Studios in New York during October. For this collection of songs, Jason used just one vintage guitarโ€”a mahogany Martin 0-17 from way back in 1940. The first track you’ll hear is “Bury Me,” so give it a listen when you can!

The last time Jason and the 400 Unit put out music was their June release titled Weathervanes. They have plenty of shows lined up that follow Jason’s solo gigs. Here’s where you can catch him live next:

Foxes in the Snow:

  • Bury Me
  • Ride to Robertโ€™s
  • Eileen
  • Gravelweed
  • Donโ€™t Be Tough
  • Open and Close
  • Foxes in the Snow
  • Crimson and Clay
  • Good While It Lasted
  • True Believer
  • Wind Behind the Rain

I think fans are really excited to see what he does on his own without the band.
