Kendrick Lamar’s unexpected album, GNX, has shot straight to the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
Selling 319,000 units, as reported by Billboard through Luminate, it’s his fourth studio album in a row to hit No. 1, just like his previous hits: Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Damn., and To Pimp a Butterfly. His other projects like Untitled Unmastered. and the soundtrack for Black Panther: The Album also started strong on the charts. Released on November 22, this new album was crafted with talents like Sounwave, Jack Antonoff, Kamasi Washington among others and came with a music video for “Squabble Up,” which fans are really loving.
Interestingly enough, “Squabble Up” became Kendrick’s third chart-topping song of 2024 according to Billboard. Before this track climbed up there were “Not Like Us” and “Like That.”
Fans think it’s amazing how Kendrick keeps surprising us with new music that always seems to become a hit!
