Killer Mike Releases Humble Me Music Video

After winning Album of the Year for Michael at the 2024 BET Awards, Killer Mike released a new track called “Humble Me” with a striking black-and-white video.

The video shows him without his jewelry and in handcuffs, while his lyrics talk about being arrested at the Grammys and liken it to Daniel facing lions. Check out the music video below.

Killer Mike mentioned during his acceptance speech that he wasn’t supposed to be there because he was handcuffed and escorted out of the building. He emphasized his return was thanks to BET, giving credit to Black people running the show rather than anyone else. “I’m back, baby,” he declared.

Right after snagging three Grammy awards, including Best Rap Album, Killer Mike got arrested for an incident involving a security guard but later completed community service, leading to no charges being filed against him.

I think it’s amazing how people can bounce back from tough situations.

Killer Mike is currently touring North America promoting Michael, performing at events like Lollapalooza and Newport Folk Festival until fall.

In another part of his speech at the BET Awards, he urged everyone to vote in upcoming elections and know their local politicians. If you don’t like who’s running, go vote or even run yourself!
