King Gizzard & Lizard Wizard Reveal Orchestral Album Phantom Island

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have been busy bees, and now they’re teasing their new album Phantom Island, which they recorded with an orchestra while working on Flight B741.

Singer Stu Mackenzie shared his excitement on Instagram, saying, “A lot of love and time and energy and patience and growth went into this one. Can’t wait to grow wings and fly with all of you.”

This latest album will offer ten tracks, kicking off with “Phantom Island.” It’s a big milestone because it’s their 27th album! Last year they released Flight B741, alongside two other records: The Silver Cord and the very long-titled PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation. Though we don’t know which orchestra played in it yet, Brett Kelly conducted the lead single.

I think fans are super excited to hear how this one sounds!
