Lady Gaga is set to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2025 on a Friday.
Her show, named “The Art of Personal Chaos,” was split into four unique parts: “Of Velvet and Vice,” “And She Fell Into a Gothic Dream,” “The Beautiful Nightmare That Knows Her Name,” and “To Wake Her Is To Lose Her.” It all began with Gaga standing atop a huge, layered dress, singing “Bloody Mary” from Born This Way without any instruments. Then, she jumped into performing “Abracadabra” from Mayhem, as dancers magically appeared from beneath her dress. She even played guitar for “Garden of Eden” and had an epic dance-off to a Gesaffelstein remix of “Abracadabra,” which later hit streaming services.
As the night went on, Gesaffelstein joined Gaga for “Killah,” and she danced with a giant skeleton during the first live performance of “Zombieboy.” The show was packed with nods to her past looks—like that famous white Alexander McQueen dress inspired by the 2009 MTV VMAs—and even her iconic leg brace armor from the “Paparazzi” video made an appearance. Most songs were from her new album or earlier works like The Fame through Born This Way. Interestingly, nothing from Artpop, Joanne, or Chromatica. She wrapped up with hits like “Vanish Into You” from Mayhem, plus fan favorites “Shallow” and “Bad Romance.”
