Black Country, New Road just dropped a fresh track called “For the Cold Country.”
This is their third single from the upcoming album Forever Howlong, and it’s special because May Kershaw takes the lead with her piano and accordion skills. Before this, they gave us songs like “Besties” and “Happy Birthday,” where Georgia Ellery and Tyler Hyde took turns as lead singers.
Fans sometimes wonder how musicians can keep surprising us with new sounds.
The new album, Forever Howlong, was crafted alongside James Ford—who’s worked with Fontaines D.C. and Arctic Monkeys—and will be available on April 4 through Ninja Tune. This marks their third studio effort after For the First Time in 2021 and Ants From Up There in 2022, but it’s their first without Isaac Wood leading vocals.
