Nilüfer Yanya just dropped a new song called “Call It Love” from her upcoming album My Method Actor, which will be out on September 13 via Ninja Tune.
“It takes guts to really follow your gut feelings,” Yanya mentioned about the inspiration behind her track. “It’s about letting your passion guide you, even if it consumes and destroys you.”
Back in April, she released “Like I Say (I Runaway)” as the first single from the album, although she didn’t officially announce the album until June. This song was also her first release with Ninja Tune and marked her return after two years since Painless.
I think it’s pretty cool how artists take breaks and come back with fresh ideas.
Yanya created My Method Actor with Wilma Archer, writing and recording its ten tracks in London, Eastbourne, and Wales. She’s set to tour for the new album starting late September across North America, Europe, and England.
