Lynn Avery & Cole Pulice Release New Album Phantasy & Reality

Lynn Avery and Cole Pulice are gearing up to release a fresh album named Phantasy & Reality, hitting the scene on November 15 through Moon Glyph.

Following their last project, To Live & Die in Space & Time, they’ve dropped two tracks: โ€œAll That the Air Allowsโ€ and โ€œMoonlight in an Empty Room.โ€ The album took shape from 2022 to 2024 across Oakland, New York, and Minneapolis. Charlie Bruber adds his upright bass magic on three songs, while Ambrose Akinmusireโ€™s trumpet shines in โ€œA Mote of Frozen Eternity.โ€

Avery, who also goes by Iceblink, brought back her earlier work Carpet Cocoon. Meanwhile, Pulice gave us a long piece titled โ€œIf I Donโ€™t See You in the Future, Iโ€™ll See You in the Pastureโ€ for Longform Editions last year.

Fans sometimes wonder how these artists come up with such unique sounds.

If you’re curious about Cole Puliceโ€™s saxophone adventures or want to dive into more about that lengthy tune he made, you might enjoy reading features like “Cole Puliceโ€™s Ambient Saxophone Multiverse” or checking out “The 100 Best Songs of the 2020s So Far.”

Cole is set to perform at EartH Theatre during Pitchfork Music Festival London on November 6. Snag your tickets!
