Marc Maron is stepping into a new role in the upcoming Bruce Springsteen movie, Deliver Me From Nowhere.
In this film, Maron will take on the character of Chuck Plotkin, the guy who turned Springsteenโs raw cassette tapes into the polished album we know as Nebraska. Alongside him, Gabby Hoffmann will play Bruce’s mom, Adele, and David Krumholtz becomes Al Teller, a big record label boss. Sadly, Adele passed away earlier this year at 98.
Scott Cooper is directing this flick based on Warren Zanesโ book. It dives deep into the whirlwind days when Springsteen was crafting his famous album. They’re shooting scenes in New Jersey and New York right now.
The cast also features Jeremy Allen White as the star with Paul Walter Hauser and others like Odessa Young joining in. Jeremy Strong plays Jon Landau, Springsteenโs manager who has been around forever. Oh! And guess what? The Boss himself popped by to check out how things were going on set in Bayonne!
Fans wonder if weโll see some behind-the-scenes magic that made Nebraska so special.
By the wayโhave you ever noticed how movies about musicians always seem to bring their stories alive? It’s like we’re getting a backstage pass to their world!
