In a surprising move, Miley Cyrus just released two tracks from her latest album, Something Beautiful.
The songs “Prelude” and the title track are quite different. “Prelude” is like a spoken-word electronic piece, while the other one mixes jazzy sounds with some psych-pop vibes. Both have stunning music videos made by Miley alongside Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, with Benoît Debie handling the camera work. You can check them out below.
Miley worked with Shawn Everett as the main producers of the album. For “Prelude,” they teamed up with Michael Pollack, Jonathan Rado, and Maxx Morando. As for “Something Beautiful,” she co-produced it with Panos Cosmatos, Nick Spicer, Nate Bolotin, and Aram Tertzakian.
Fans think it’s cool when artists try new things like this!
Her new album will be out on May 30 through Columbia Records. Miley says it’s kind of like Pink Floyd’s The Wall, but she promises it has better outfits and more glitz mixed in with pop culture fun.
