Mustafa Announces New Album Dunya, Shares SNL Video

Mustafa is gearing up to release his first studio album, Dunya, on September 27 through Jagjaguwar.

With this announcement, he also dropped a music video for "SNL," which he directed himself. The track was co-produced by Rodaidh McDonald, Simon Hessman, and Aaron Dessner from the National. Notably, McDonald and Hessman have previously collaborated on other songs from Dunya, including “Imaan,” “Name of God,” and “Gaza Is Calling.” This new album features contributions from JID, Rosalía, Clairo, Nicolás Jaar, Daniel Caesar, and Ramy Youssef.

Sometimes I wonder how artists come up with such unique collaborations.

Here’s the tracklist for Dunya:
01 Name of God
02 What Happened, Mohamed?
03 Imaan
04 What Good Is a Heart?
05 SNL
06 I’ll Go Anywhere
07 Beauty, End
08 Old Life
09 Gaza Is Calling
10 Leaving Toronto (With Daniel Caesar)
11 Hope Is a Knife
12 Nouri

The excitement around this release is palpable!
