New Teaser Trailer for Pavement Movie Released

A fresh teaser for Alex Ross Perry’s upcoming Pavement film just dropped, and it’s got Joe Keery from Stranger Things playing Stephen Malkmus.

In this clip, they’ve used the song “Shady Lane” from Brighten the Corners, with that catchy line about being an extra in a movie sequel of your life. The video is below if you want to check it out.

Now, there’s something interesting about this movie; it premiered at Venice Film Festival last year and has a twist. Inside the movie Pavements, there’s another pretend film called “Range Life: A Pavement Story.” It’s like making fun of music biopics, which fans on IndieHeads subreddit have noticed.

The cast is pretty cool too—besides Keery, there are folks like Jason Schwartzman and Nat Wolff among others. But we still don’t know when everyone can see it in theaters.

Fans think it’s neat how movies can play with stories inside stories.

Away from the film world, Joe Keery also makes music as Djo. His new album The Crux is set to come out early next month.

Note: There was a mix-up earlier saying Alex Ross Perry’s film was called Range Life: A Pavement Story. Actually, that’s just part of the plot within Pavements.
