Shaboozey Performs A Bar Song & Good News on SNL

Last night, Shaboozey rocked Saturday Night Live with his hit songs โ€œA Bar Song (Tipsy)โ€ and โ€œGood News.โ€

Even though Shaboozey skipped the comedy skits, Heidi Gardner made a funny promise to show her โ€œshapoozeyโ€ as part of her Weekend Update, pretending to be a proud mom. Meanwhile, Mescal appeared in a pre-recorded clip that turned the upcoming Gladiator II movie into a musical twist. You can check out both performances below, along with Shaboozeyโ€™s fun promo video featuring Paul Mescal and Chloe Fineman.

A month ago, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” matched the record for most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100, tying with “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Rae Cyrus. He also released โ€œGood News,โ€ marking his first new track since dropping his debut album Where Iโ€™ve Been, Isnโ€™t Where Iโ€™m Going. At the 2025 Grammys, Shaboozey is up for five awards including Best New Artist and Song of the Year.

The current season of SNL, its 50th anniversary run, has seen acts like Mk.gee, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish perform alongside legends like Stevie Nicks and Coldplay. Jelly Roll joined too. Last month had Ariana Grande hosting an episode while Charli XCX took on both hosting duties and performed as well. Coming up next week are Chris Rock with Gracie Abrams; after that itโ€™s Martin Short paired with Hozier.

I think fans really love seeing their favorite stars mix things up on shows like SNL!
