The Hard Quartet Release New Songs Lies & Coreopsis Trail

The Hard Quartet is back with two fresh tunes.

This indie-rock group dropped “Lies (Something You Can Do)” and “Coreopsis Trail” as a split single, marking their first release since last year’s debut album. Kevin “Spanky” Long, known for his skateboarding skills, directed the music video for “Lies,” which showcases some cool Etch A Sketch art—check it out below.

Emmett Kelly from the Cairo Gang, Stephen Malkmus of Pavement fame, Matt Sweeney from Chavez, and Jim White of Dirty Three make up this band. They’re hitting the road for their first North American tour soon and will head to Europe and the UK in June after wrapping up in May.

We can’t wait to see them live!

“Hey,” one of their songs made it to “The 100 Best Songs of 2024.” That’s pretty awesome!
