The Pains of Being Pure at Heart Release New Rarities Album

On February 7, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are set to release a special album featuring some hidden gems from their past.

Kip Berman shared that many tracks, like those on their first record, were created with big dreams and pop fantasies because they hadn’t yet mastered musical skills. He said, โ€œBut even if that now is now an irrevocable then, I still believe that there is nothing better than making music with your friends and dreaming, as our Myspace page once proclaimed, of โ€˜being the biggest band in the worldโ€”to about 18 people.โ€™โ€

The band decided to part ways in 2019 but Kip Berman continued making music under the name Natvral. Surprise! They revealed plans for a reunion tour in 2025 earlier this year.

Fans often wonder what it would be like if bands never broke up.

The collection called Perfect Right Now: A Slumberland Collection 2008-2010 includes these songs:

  • Kurt Cobainโ€™s Cardigan
  • Come Saturday
  • Ramona
  • The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
  • Side Ponytail
  • Higher Than the Stars
  • 103
  • Falling Over
  • Twins
  • Say No to Love
